Hi there,
I am quite new to pimatic and home automation in general.
In the following issue I am using the Brennenstuhl RCS1000N comfort remote switches and the 433 MHz transmitter and receiver you can find in this link (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00ATZV5EQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00).
At first, I tried to control the switches with pilight-send. I used the “brennenstuhl” protocol and was successful with that.
Then, I tried to switch from pilight to pimatic using the homeduino plugin (but without an arduino nano). In order to do that I was holding the remote control of the switches right next to my receiver to get the house and unitcodes. Pimatic gave me several inputs it received in the debugging log. The housecode and unitcode it received were right (housecode 21, unitcode 1 in pilight; housecode 21 and unitcode 16 in pimatic). However, I was not able to control my switches neither with the switch2 nor with the switch3 protocol. Then I switched the GPIO pins of the sender and receiver (GPIO 17 and 18) since this is recommended in some threads, still no success.
After all these unsuccessful trials I have the feeling that my sender and receiver are not working properly anymore (I know they are not the best). Not only do they not set my switches but now the receiver does not receive inputs from the remote control anymore. Also, controlling the switches with pilight suddenly does not work.
This would be a sure thing. But then I tried to send a signal with my sender and receive the same signal with my receiver (using pilight send and receive) and lo and behold it is receiving the right signal!
It is mysterious to me and I am beginning to feel frustrated because of a lack of potential solutions. I would be very grateful for some thoughts on what might the problem here.
Thanks in advance
Justin
