I registered a device HomeduinoContact sensor in the config.
First the connection I had to pin 14 just like in the picture from @p4co86. Later to pin 9.
The HomeduinoContact sensor works fine, but I get this message every second:
15:17:14debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:13debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:12debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:11debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:10debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 1" 15:17:09debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 1" 15:17:08debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 1" 15:17:07debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:06debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:05debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0" 15:17:04debug [pimatic-homeduino]: data: "ACK 0"
Even if I remove all the cables comes the message . Only when I remove the entry for HomeduinoContact sensor is the message to leave.

Arduino Nano Debug "ACK 0" , "ACK1"

The ack message is telling you that the arduino is responding and working properly.
guess you are in debug mode?"logLevel": "debug", "debug": "true",
what the difference between ack 0 and 1 is , I actually don’t know.
guess they are packages from the nano sent via serial bus to the pi and the pi acknowledges the receipt.pimatic v0.9 has been released!

@leader21 If only the device HomeduinoRFTemperature and HomeduinoRFSwitch are in the config does not come this message . Only when HomeduinoContactSensor is inserted .
ack 1 was added when I had changed from pin 14 to pin 9 . Before that, I only got ack 0
Maybe I did not express myself properly . I get these messages in debug mod of pimatic . So the web gui . Not in terminal.
The system is not too much burdened with it?"Really, I'm not out to destroy Microsoft. That will just be a completely unintentional side effect." 09-28-2003, LINUS TORVALDS (http://www.nytimes.com)

do you have the sysinfo plugin installed?
have a look here :
http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/104/cpu-load-in-shellsensor-device/2
so you are able to monitor your cpu load and mem usage relatively easy.pimatic v0.9 has been released!

you have asked whether this will burden the system.
if the cpu usage is ok then i wouldn’t worry
it’s just an acknowledgement/information, nothing more.some dev may please correct me if i am wrong …
