@wutu There isn’t a new update on pimatic. Laterst version 0.9.0
Edit:
I have found a new version on github. 0.9.1
I get the same mistakes like with 0. 9. 0.
please call `usonic.init()` first
Also here I do not see the input field for “echo”.

@Thrusty Maybe you need rebuild mmm-usonic.
Try In your pimatic base dir:
sudo rm -rf node_modules/pimatic-ultrasonic
npm install pimatic-ultrasonic
Pimatic = Smart Home
@wutu I have tried it. Unfortunately, with the same result.
No input field for the Echo-Pin, and the mistakes announcement as had.

@Thrusty For me plugin normally works. It’s odd that you do not see an echo field. I really do not know what to advise. Maybe delete the browser cache.
If the plugin does not “see” the sensor, it writes this error:
14:48:02.331 [pimatic-ultrasonic] Error reading ultrasonic with id:ultrasonic
Pimatic = Smart Home
@wutu Now I have put down the Device by hand in config.
Now while starting I get this announcement:
15:08:17.509 [pimatic-ultrasonic] Error init HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor
15:08:17.518 [pimatic-ultrasonic] [Error: unknown hardware: "BCM2835"]
15:08:17.687 [pimatic] Invalid config of device "wasserstand": Property "#/echo" Should have type object, was: integer in /echo
15:08:17.694 [pimatic] Error loading device "wasserstand": please call `usonic.init()` first

https://github.com/mochman/mmm-usonic/issues/3
clone mmm-usonic version 2.5.4 from github
Pimatic = Smart Home
@wutu I the following made:
git clone https://github.com/mochman/mmm-usonic.git
Then this has happened:
Cloning into 'mmm-usonic'...
remote: Counting objects: 40, done.
remote: Total 40 (delta 0), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 40
Unpacking objects: 100% (40/40), done.
Checking connectivity... done.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The same mistake as already described.
Have I made a little bit wrong?

@Thrusty Where did you clone?
<pimatic-dir>/node-modules/pimatic-ultrasonic/node-modules
?
after that in the mmm-usonic directory run npm i
do not forget to restart pimatic
Pimatic = Smart Home
@wutu I have made it once more at the right place.
Now says pimatic to me:
15:49:27.945 [pimatic] Loading plugin: "pimatic-ultrasonic" (0.9.1)
coffee-cache: compiling coffee-script file "ultrasonic.coffee"...Done
15:49:28.423 [pimatic] Cannot find module 'expressive-assertion'
"Really, I'm not out to destroy Microsoft. That will just be a completely unintentional side effect." 09-28-2003, LINUS TORVALDS (http://www.nytimes.com)
Now I have made in the mmm-usonic folder:
npm install expressive-assertion@1.5.1
the result:
16:19:40.103 [pimatic] Loading plugin: "pimatic-ultrasonic" (0.9.1)
16:19:40.119 [pimatic] Cannot find module '../build/Release/usonic.node'

@Thrusty said in ultrasonic problems since the change to Raspbian Stretch:
npm install expressive-assertion@1.5.1
run only npm install
you probably miss something else

@wutu I have made everything once again. Unfortunately, still without success. Again this mistake:
16:48:31.244 [pimatic-ultrasonic] Error init HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor
16:48:31.250 [pimatic-ultrasonic] [Error: unknown hardware: "BCM2835"]
16:48:31.414 [pimatic] Invalid config of device "wasserstand": Property "#/echo" Should have type object, was: integer in /echo

@Thrusty Yes, because https://github.com/mochman/mmm-usonic/issues/3
again:
stop pimatic
cd <pimatic-dir>/node-modules/pimatic-ultrasonic/node-modules
rm -rf mmm-usonic
git clone https://github.com/mochman/mmm-usonic
cd mmm-usonic
npm install
start pimatic
Pimatic = Smart Home
@wutu
Very strangely, I meant exactly this to have made.
Now I have done it over again after your description and I have a value and no mistake more.
Wasserstand completely below
In the GUI furthermore to put no possibility the echo Pin.
I have made entry in config to the Device and now get a value as one sees on top.
Many thanks for your help and patience.
I was already at the end, however, now my Device works again.
Many, many thanks
