@chris wow, haven’t seen that one before. Did you reset the HomeKit settings on your iOS device too?
Yes i reseted these data too.
The app is the following.
Home - Einfache Hausautomatisierung (yes much expansive but with "Widget for the Communicationcentral)
The issue is almost the same. (have tried 3 HomeKit apps)
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
–> No Messages/Logs in Pimatic
I have to say that i had this error, too.
Besides my many problems with HomeKit Bridge it happened two times: as i tried to pair the iPhone with “Pimatic HomeKit Bridge” with Eve the app threw and error (not sure what exactly it said but something like yours) jumped back one screen and as i tried to pair again Eve always jumped back instantly as i pressed on the name of the bridge to pair it.
Problem is I really don’t know how i fixed it. I did nothing else than you already have.
(Resetting all HomeKit iPhone Data, deleting the hap-database folder and deleting the plugin folder)
Maybe you should try deleting all data of pimatic-hap (folder and database), reset your HomeKit data, then start up pimatic WITHOUT plugin:hap in your config and then finally add the plugin again via GUI or config.
I really have no idea if this helps, but i did nothing else.
Maybe try 1-2 times the same again
@michbeck100 I can report good news, too: Since my last post 5 days ago HomeKit communication did work in every case. Even switching from far away with the AppleTV did work! Thanks for your support again.
Wouldnt it be possible to include some kind of deep-logging? I know its hard for you to help us if we dont provide detailed infos but maybe you could include some kind of script which extracts all relevant infos of our system and then writes them to a txt file so you have all the information you need to investigate deeper. I am not sure which information that would be.
Besides the errors: Thanks again for your plugin! I really like it.
hmm i have no idea?
but maybe the iPhone can’t pass the connection with the hap.
I can find the device “Piratic HomeKit Bridge”, but when i’m pressing connect in the app - it needs 40-50 seconds. then the error comes.
I have deleted everything. And install everything new. (means all of the Plugin hap)
@chris apart from restarting or even resetting your phone I have no ideas. I’m pretty sure this has nothing to do with pimatic and the hap plugin, because there’s no one else with these problems.
Ok i’m trying it everyday for one time. (or every second day)
But i have still the issue.
It’s a pity, because it worked for weeks before.
Hmm… i will write when i have a improvement.
is this start script from the first post still need?
nohup sudo DEBUG=HAPServer,EventedHTTPServer,Accessory node node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js > pimatic-daemon.log &
@chris it seems that there have been some changes in the hap-nodejs library, that pimatic-hap is using to create the homekit bridge. Among others there are some fixes regarding loosing the connection (https://github.com/KhaosT/HAP-NodeJS/commit/6ecb628aba4c234feb641c355fdf0b7513664f72). Maybe that helps.
I will update the dependencies and release a new version of the plugin, if everything works as before.
I just released version 0.5.3 that includes the promised updated dependency to hap-nodejs, which hopefully fixes the connection issues some users are facing.
I would like to close this thread now, since 270 post are enough, i think. But i’ve created a new one: http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/1376/pimatic-hap-support-for-pimatic-homekit-bridge.
Threat is closed in favour of http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/1376/pimatic-hap-support-for-pimatic-homekit-bridge
