Force single column Layout @ Tablet

anyone a idea how i can force a single column layout? i’m currently using a nexus7 on the wall but the site show’s 2 columns in landscape mode. My 7" amazon fire hdx7 with higher resolution shows the single column layout in vertical format and landscape mode.
