Easy jump start - ready to use image

Just started with a clean Rasbian an followed the step-by-step “Howto Pimatic”. Unfortunately this really easy goint tutorial was unsuccessful. Maybe because I used “Berryboot” or I updated the kernel to the latest availlale 4.x-branch (due to mid august 2015). Some troubles with sqlite3 forced pimatic.js to abort.

So just for pimatic beginners it would be great help to flash an existing image to play with. But there is no image or I could not find it.

I have no problems with the lastest kernel.
What errors do you get?

After the step-by-step tutorial there is no /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/sqlite3/lib/binding plus subdirectories. So sqlite3 is not installed or configrated properly.

AND I installed nodejs 0.10.24 BUT this error says it demands node-v11. Thats confusing to me.

I already started over with a new rasbian image. Even tried nodejs0.11.9 with noc success.

I just tested it with the latest Raspbian image and updated it to the latest kernel and I used the tutorial on pimatic.org, no problems.
The installation of sqlite takes a lot of time.
Try removing the sqlite3 directory in /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/

cd /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/
sudo rm -rf sqlite3

then start pimatic

sudo node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js start

and tail the log file

tail -f /home/pi/pimatic-app/pimatic-daemon.log

It will then install sqlite3 again, you should see it in the tail, it really takes a while to finish.
When it’s done you should see pimatic is listening on port 80 or something like that.

node-v11 is the module (binary interface) version. node v0.10 has binary interface version 11. So you are using the right version.

Try the steps described by @incmve. And wait till sqlite compilation finished.
