Aqara (Xiaomi) plugin (Released)
-
Very nice to see there is a plugin! :D
Hope to try it later this week.

Another nice gadget appears to be Aqara 1080p Cam “Gateway Edition” if you don’t mind to have a Chinese webcam with mandatory cloud services monitoring your home. It is a WiFI Cam with additional ZigBee support to send alarms to the Aqara Gateway. It may constitute an interesting option for setting up an alarm system based on Aqara sensors.
There also is a range of smart door locks and a curtain motor on sale, however, I am not sure these device meet European standards and, obviously, they are more expensive then the range of other devices on sale.

That lock looks nice, I want do order one, but can’t find if it works on European locks.

I would really like to see:
- option to put in pairing mode
- option to remove a device
- option to actively read info from the gateway
- option to talk to the gateway

@koffienl Yea I will implement a Gateway device then. Lets see what’s possible
-
@koffienl pairing is not implemented in the package I use. So I need to Add that manually. I thought you found a way to enable this, I saw it somewhere on tweakers. I need a raw api command.
-
I have all possible send and receive commands, will send them tomorrow.
Currently I’m using a extended script that publish everything on MQTT and listens on MQTT to receive commands and send them to the gateway.Like my projects and help? Consider donating electroneum etnjwAKGPqF6omQWRmpp9u2BPyVDG9VuyRQjNJ1S8yfBdfR9qeUQ46kRy8KS2CNqbpNLRrsgmNW6F2TMzxmZgPrh6KctrkrYbm

Hi @sweebee !
Thanks for picking this up and thank you for your work.
Temperature and motion is working great (however I don’t get pressure values or lux values from my devices…)For the wireless buttons (the round once, with click, double_click and long_press) I have a problem.
The buttons are recognized as “AqaraWirelessSwitch” not as buttons. So it will only have an on/off slider (which works fine).
I don’t know why the devices are not recognized by your addon…however the events submitted by my buttons are
click
,double_click
andlong_click_release
orlong_click_press
.
The ones in your addon aredoubleClick
andlongClickPress
. Maybe thats the issue already? How are the devices recognized / sorted into categories?
I have the latest firmware on my Xiaomi Gateway. I use the sensors/gateway from Xiaomi.
Log:
12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug: Switch { 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> domain: null, 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _events: {}, 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _eventsCount: 0, 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _maxListeners: undefined, 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _sid: '158d00020f4a9b', 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _type: 'switch', 12:55:22.914 [pimatic-aqara] debug:> _voltage: 3052 }
Edit: When I change my ‘switch’ to be recognized as a button (simply swap button and switch in the config files), I get the
click
event but any other event will trigger aclick
event as well…This is the info, the switch gives when I manually query the gateway:
{u'model': u'switch', u'cmd': u'report', u'data': u'{"status":"click"}', u'short_id': 63577, u'sid': u'158d00020f4a9b'} {u'model': u'switch', u'cmd': u'report', u'data': u'{"status":"double_click"}', u'short_id': 63577, u'sid': u'158d00020f4a9b'}

@georg90 thanks for the feedback. I don’t have this button. I have ordered one. I will check what I can find.
Edit: new release (0.2.9) with fix for round button (v1) and option to disable pressure/lux for v1 of some sensors.
-
Thanks for the plugin, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Could easily be my fault though.
I have inserted the c8d58bd46dju57 code you get in the Mihome app, in the password section from the plugin settings, is this correct?
Then when I restarted Pimatic i get the following:19:01:22.772 [pimatic] info: Loading plugin: "pimatic-aqara" (0.2.9) 19:01:22.828 [pimatic] error: this is not a typed array.
I don’t know if these two errors are related, but there aren’t any Aquara devices showing up when I press the “discover devices” button. They also can’t be found in the drop down list when I trie to at a device manually.
-
Could you enable debug from pimatic? Then you get more information about the error.
-
New release: when doing a device discovery in pimatic, the join/pairing mode on the gateway will be enabled to include new devices.
@koffienl I think removing device is not needed, because when you press the pair button on a sensor for 5 seconds, it will be removed from the gateway.
-
Wasn’t aware of that? Sounds like a unwanted feature toe me to be honest

As far as I can see, debug is on…
{ "password": "C8D582BD46A@@@@@", "plugin": "aqara", "active": true, "debug": true } ],
And for the Pimatic part:
"messageLogging": [ { "level": "*", "tags": [], "expire": "7d" }, { "level": "debug", "tags": [], "expire": "0" } ] },
All I get is the above… -
@mr-smith debug from pimatic itself must be enabled, see menu > configuration
-
@koffienl yea, the wall switch doesn’t have a dedicated pair button, it uses the switch itself, so if you press it to long it stops working
-
Can you recommend the wall switch? Is it able to switch even if the gateway is offline? Does it need three wires to work?
-
@georg90 I have the wireless version, so on batteries and no connection to a real light.
But I can tell you it always need 3 wires and it will work when the gateway is offline.
It will probably not fit in to your wall because its square, whole Europe is round I guess? at least in holland.I also released a new version again, there were some bugs in the auto discovery.
