hello guys,
i have a shell sensor to get the newest file in a path

now i want an iframe to refresh the when the shell sensor changes/updates
–> this is not the problem

the url look like this:

• http://url/to/my/server/$shellsensor.attribute
• so that it points to: http://url/to/my/server/filename

i think it could work to update the device attribute by API???

@chris i think this might help you a bit. I actually couldnt find anything but this seems to sort of work:

WHEN $yourvariable changes THEN load youriframename with "$yourvariableinhttpformat"

So, if variable changes it will load it instantly into the iframe.

Is that what you need?

Or:
WHEN $yourvariable changes THEN load youriframename with "http://url/to/your/server/$yourvariable"

yes that’s almost good.

But the small bad thing is that if you are entering pimatic.
the url doesn’t point on something.
It comes just when the shell sensor refreshes/updates.
But thats ok…

How about the following:

WHEN $yourvariable changes and $yourvariable is not "" THEN load youriframename with "http://url/to/your/server/$yourvariable"

now if you enter the website, the rule triggers and sets the right path…
