OK, good to know. In the description of pimatic-echo you wrote for supported classes:
“All lights from pimatic-led-light, pimatic-hue-zll and pimatic-tradfri”
So i wait for your next version.

@daice There is definitely no problem with DummySwitches. Sometimes you need to scan more than once.

This was before the rgb light was added in pimatic-tradfri. You can add it by yourself, then you don’t have to wait.

I think i found the problem by checking my config again. The problem was not a DummySwitch device, it was an ShellSwitch device. Pimatic-echo is not supporting ShellSwitch devices at the moment, right? I use them a lot. Is it possible for the future to support them with echo? SispmctlSwitch is working out of the box…

Actually pimatic-echo supports ShellSwitch. It has the same api like a DummySwitch, no difference.

Good evening everybody,
I having been testing Amazon-echo for a few weeks now and looks great.
Its a homebrew but functional, but i cant get it connected to my pimatic.
Alexa keeps asking enable home skill from the smartphone app. Echo plugin is up and running on port 80. So i think i’m missing something, what app do i need to install to connect my echo to my pimatic?
@funip you’ll need an echo dot currently. The new echo doesn’t work anymore. Then you just tell Alexa to scan for new devices. Don’t forget to activate the devices you want Alexa to switch. For more info just read the documentation on github.

That’s a pitty. Echo dot is not jet available here and i just spend my last money to expand my pimatic. Then i have to move my projects for now.

You can still use HA-Bridge. The FAQ says it works with Gen2-Devices.
I have only a Gen1 Dot, so i can´t test it
@michael-rudek I wouldn’t bet on it. But would be cool if someone could confirm this. Then I will try to find the differences

I think that the problem might be caused by my config.
I have pimatic running for 3 years now, and works great. I can control my whole house. So i was thinking about building an amazon echo myself (https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-alexa/) and connect my Hue bridge, pimatic and Alexa together. pimatic plugin Hue and Echo are installed.
Ok, the “Homemade” Alexa will not work with Ha-Bridge…
@michael-rudek said in [pimatic-echo] Release 0.4.0:
Ha-Bridge
My Amazon Alexa is working perfect with the Hue bridge. But paring with Pimatic Hue Bridge is not working so far. Maybe i can work my way arround with some rules when a hue light is switched.
HA-Bridge is not a Hue-Bridge.
HA-Bridge is a software solution, like pimatic-echo, but standalone.
The Faq says:
The ha-bridge requires a physical Amazon Echo (Gen1 or 2), Echo Plus, Dot (Gen 1 or 2), Tap, Show, Spot or Google Home or Mini device and does not work with prototype devices built using the Alexa Voice Service e.g. Amazon’s Alexa AVS Sample App and Sam Machin’s AlexaPi. The AVS version does not have any capability for HUE Bridge discovery!
I´m not shure if your Alexa is a “prototype” Type
@funip currently you’ll get an echo dot for 30€. I think you’d rather go with this than build your own, which doesn’t work.
