Hi @Rene-Arts, very interesting project. It’s nice to see MQTT module to do something useful.
I have one question. The sensor is with ESP8266? From the picture it is not entirely certain. I’d included him on my list of devices with ESP. Thx and happy gardening.

@wutu If you are referring to the Greenthumb soil sensor; yup, its ESP8266 based. It is developed by a Dutch fellow I “know” from the Dutch Gathering-of-Tweakers forum (@koffienl spends a lot time there as well, as do a lot of other Dutchies over here). Thanks for your work on the MQTT plugins! I really like MQTT as it is so versatile and portable. Also it is supported by most home automation systems, which gives me some security of keeping stuff running in the future.

The led displays pimatic status. If pimatic is down or has had a critical error it starts to blink.
The red button(got it from an electric fly swatter hehe) is programmed to reset pimatic after 1 press. After holding it halts the system for safe removal from powersource.
Antennas are for 433, they work like a charme. Covers our whole ground from top to bottom onto our shed.Happy newyear

@temp there isnt much to show. Both are simply connected to the antenna pins.
The antennas came from my old router, a linksys wrt54g v5.

@temp well. I first had an normal thin cable of 17cm attached to the antenna pin and it did send ok after finding a good location, receiving was not so good.
I have my pimatic in an spare room upstairs. Our living is underneath that room and the kitchen is next to it. Receiving was impossible from our back door (kaku contact). Now, when im in our storage, which is about 20 meters away from the kitchen, it detects the switch perfectly. Same for sending.

I want to show my first MySensor-Door-Contact. But first I have to say thank you to @sweebee for his great tutorial and @Petjepet for his MySensors 2.0 Code here what helped me a lot.
Here is a picture of the assembled sensor in his case:
The sensor is made on a hole matrix board with an arduino pro mini 3,3V and at this time with 8MHz.
I have removed the Power-LED but the Power-Regulator is still on the board. Maybe I removed them later if the battery time is to low.
As radio I used a NRF24.Update 09.08.2017:
The batteries of the first sensor are empty, so two AA-Batteries can run this sensor vor 7 month amazing!!!The case is my own design and I have made it on a 3D.Printer.

Bought a pair of new antennas to test with!
- Arduino Nano clone (Ebay)
- 433MHZ High Gain Antenna SMA Within Needle Rubber Glue Stick 6DBI MA *2 (Ebay)
- SMA Male to SMA Female Nut Bulkhead Crimp RG316 Coax Cable Jumper Pigtail Black * 2 (Ebay)
- SRX882 Receiver (People prefer 3400 RF RXB6, I will test RXB6 with my next setup with these antennas)
- STX882 Sender (Again, people prefer the one sent with 3400 RF RXB6, this will be on the next setup)
I haven’t gotten to test the range yet, but at the very least it works as well as my old setup. This looks quite badass to say the least.
I just wish I had a little bigger box for the electronics, I have to admit I needed to force everything in.

I have mounted a tablet to the wall with a custom GUI connected to 2 different Pimatic API’s.
Project is almost finished, later I will post more detailed info on how it’s build.
When the tablet isn’t touched for 5 minutes it will start showing random pictures. If pimatic detect that no one is at home or in bed, the screen is turned off. In the morning or when someone arrive at home the screen is turned on again.
