I have a thermostat which as such works fine using a temp sensor on a RPi-B which I use as streamer in my living room. This RPi-B sends the room temperature ever 3 minutes to my pimatic RPi-B in my attic connected to my central heating.
2 days ago I suddenly noticed that the temperature was no longer updated in my pimatic running the thermostat device (due to a network error).
Please note that this is something else then a variable that is unchanged for 15 minutes (or so). It really is that pimatic did not receive a new value for xy minutes.
Edit: or is this the same for pimatic?
I’m using telegram-cli (1) from my RPi-B to notify me of “things”.
I now want to have something like
if $variable not updated for xy minutes execute \"telegram-cli -W -e \"msg <my contactname> did not receive the living room temperature for more then 15 minutes\""
Can I do this and if yes: how?
(1): Maybe I will write something about Telegram, like the other posts here about pushbullet, pushover, pushalot. Telegram is open source, encrypted, cross-platform including laptops/PCs/macs, free forever, without ads, etc.
