Hey, would be cool to have a VariablesTimeSpanDevice where we can select a START and END time

In rules it would be cool to use it like that:

When timespan of timespan-device-1 starts or timespan of timespan-device-1 ends then ...

or

When its within timespan of timespan-device-1 then ...

Maybe it would also be cool to define multiple timespans like for every week of day and use it like that:

When mondaySpan of timespan-device-1 starts or fridaySpan of timeSpan-device-1 starts then ...

But it would be cool if there is something like a real calender system where you can adjust just enabled/disabled timeframes for days. You could achieve the same with complex rules like

When [it is Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday and its 5:40] or [it is Saturday or Sunday and its 08:30]
then
...

but having a nice GUI like in my heating control app on iOS would be nice

I know. Thats what I’m currently using. But as you said, its necessary to creat at least 2 devices to achieve that.

The calendar would be a really big improvement. Lets see if there is a friendly developer who wants to do that

have a look at the pimatic-chronotherm plugin or the pimatic-mythermostat

@leader21 enabling pimatic-mythermostat results in not starting pimatic anymore. Have to have a closer look at it soon.

I’m working on a time span device at the moment. It’s not only usefull for heating.
