If you are referring to the issue that homeduino filters out some raw data sequences, yes, there is no solution to date unless you start tweaking homeduino. Sooner or later a developer will look into the matter …

As per my experience with my projects if the sender / receiver power is supplied by Arduino you may experience noise generated by the Arduino’s circuits or even by the 5V power supply which may interfere with sender/receiver signal processing.
A simple measure I found to reduce noise is to mount a 220uF cap (electrolyte) and one 100nF cap (ceramic) between VCC and GND power lines. It helped in my case. -
@HadleyParr I agree and it matches with my findings (as posted earlier on this thread). As an additional measure I’d recommend using an USB cable with a stealth current filter (Mantelstromfilter) as this will reduce noise between the circuit boards (if Arduino is powered via Raspi what most users do).
