Hi all,

I’d like to control my irrigation system with pimatic. The openweather plugin almost does the job…
Almost because what I have is a rule
if 2 h after sunrise end and rain of wetter Mannheim equals zero switch pump on for 30 minutes

This prevents sprinkling the lawn while it’s raining…

What I want is, that I also do not sprinkle the lawn when it rained a certain amount in the past 24 hours.

This would need something like a finite moving average on the $rain variable - but I have no clue how to do this.

Any ideas out there?

if 2 h after sunrise end and rain of wetter Mannheim < 30 for 24 h and rain of wetter Mannheim equals zero hours switch pump on for 30 minutes

So it will only turn on when the rain value was lower than 30 for the last 24 hours.

Old thread, I know! But unfortunately no final “it works” message.
This is exactly what I want to do, but the part

…rain of weather_device < 30 for 24 h…

is not working. Any hints?

Not sure if the for 24 par works properly. Maybe you can try it with a timer device and compare the time value like when timer < 24 and rain < 30

hey there. I have made a rule for my irrigation system with the following rule.

when its 7:00 and $weather.temperature is above 12 and $weather.rain is below 0.2 for 48 hours and $forecast.rain is below 0.2 for 24 hours then…

i dont know if it really works, but its logged so we will see

OK, today was the day. The above line worked. My irrigation went on @ 7.00.
SO i can defo say that this rule is working correct.

just to close my request. I was wrong the rule work as described.
My fault was that I have to wait 24h hours before the rule is running successful the 1st time.
