Pimatic Dahsboard Plugin Measurement via Grafana and InfluxDB

Hi together, i have successfully installed grafana and InfluxDB, but in dont know how to stream variables and other status codes into InfluxDB,
there is no possibility to active a device where i can include several varibales and attributes.
In the Readme there are some information… but i dont know how to integrate this in the Config.
Can someone help me, maby with a little example of two varibales and one status of a device?

Are you trying to use the pimatic-dashboard plugin?

If you’re question is about pimatic-dashboard, some instructions:

• Install pimatic-dashbaord and configure the plugin settings with the following info:

database: Database name used in influxdb. If absent, the database is automatically created (default: pimatic)
username: Username for access influx api
password: Password for access influx api
ip: The IP address of the influxdb rest api
port: port from the influxdb rest api (default: 8086)

• Create a DashboardMeasurement device in Pimatic
• In the field ‘measurement’ you can fill in a name for the measurement you want to make. For example ‘energy’ or ‘outdoor’ (temp, humidity, etc).
• Add the first variable (click on add under variable)
• In the field ‘deviceId’ fill the id of the pimatic device you want to use to provide the data
• Add the first attribute (click add under attribute)
• In the field ‘attributeId’ you fill in the attribute name of the data field. Mostly this will be ‘temperature’, ‘humidity’, ‘rain’ or whatever the device is providing.
• In the tag field you can optional add a tag that can be used in the dashboard for selection
• You can add as many devices with attributes as you want. But is seems best practice to use one DashboardMeasurement device for a logical group of data (devices/attributes)
• Save the device config and if the presence dot gets present the data flow towards influx/grafana is started. If not, the plugin config is not correct or influx is not running.

I can’t choose measurement device via create new device or do I have to create it in the config? If it is like this, do u have an example of code?
Or is the plugin not installed correctly.

If you can’t create a device, the plugin is not loaded or not installed. You can check that in the plugins page.
The plugin needs node 10!

can you tell me, how to add streamed variables in grafana?
do i have to use a plugin?

and one other question: i had to define a user and a passwd for influxdb, with “influxd help” @ user/bin i had a view to the config, but thats it. i cant create a user and a passwd, but the plugin doesn’t give me information. it seems everything ok, without a passwd@user:admin

can you help`?

You can add influx as a data source in Grafana.
For Influx you need to use the cli (command line interface) and create database ‘pimatic’ and create password for user admin (which you use in the pimatic-plugin)
