New plugin pimatic-assistant

A plugin for connecting your Pimatic system via Nora to Google Assistant.

Nora is a NOde-Red home Automation solution for connecting Node-red to Google Home/Assistant. Nora is build by Andrei Tatar. Nora consists of a plugin for Node-red and the Nora backend server that acts as a gateway between Node-red and Google Assistant.
For pimatic-assistant I’m not using node-red but use the Nora backend directly.
This plugin is also based on the work done for the Pimatic-gBridge plugin. Because the gBridge service is stopped, this plugin will be a good replacement.

Features:

• Support of Switch, Dimmer, Buttons, Milight, Shutter, DummyThermostat based Pimatic devices
• Manual addition/configuration of Pimatic devices to be controlled by Google Assistant
• Acknowledgement for actions (Assistant asks “are you sure" or pin code)

Today gBridge seems to be down from now on. So I will transfer my devices to NORA. I already changed two of 30 to see whether it works. No problems up to now. I will move in the next days. If something went wrong I will report. The first two works fine for now (first tries).

After I transferred some more devices I got following message.

I also happens when I open the assistant device and simply try to save it. When I abort it. The presence indicator change to absent. To get it back to present it is necessary to restart pimatic, open the device and store it. After that the the device gets recreated and works. Maybe it is the amount of subdevices I have (26). When I open it once more and try to store again the mentioned message pops up again…

Hi, what was the type of device when the error started? or what type of devices are you using?

Are you using blinds?

The first devices were simply switches and lights. Then I added the blinds. This works, but after the devices were there the message pops up when I tried to change something or even when I just had a look into it and clicked save.

BTW: Could it be that thermostat is not supported? When I add them no such device appears in NORA.

I think the error is in the blinds adapter.
Is it easy to delete the device and test if the error is gone?

You are right, after I delete the blinds from the config I can store the main device as often as I want without the message.

Ok, i will fix that in the next version, but wait for release until the Thermostat issue is solved.
What is the device type/name of the thermostat device?

Maybe the blinds could be the reason that the thermostats were not shown, because the thermostat sub dev came after the blinds in the config. I will give it a try. One moment…

Unfortunately it does not work. Here is the config of the device. It works in that way with your gBridge plugin.

What kind of device is aquarium-status ?
Aquarium-temp should be a temperature sensor.

It is a variable device where I summarize all the aquarium related things.

Aquarium-temp is a ESPeasy MQTT value.

EDIT: I doesn’t work as well with an other themperaturre sensor. Which I had in the gBridge config.

Ok, thats is the reason.
I use a kind of automated device type detection to get the mapping of a device to the right Google Assistant device. For a Thermostat device i’m only testing if it’s part of DummyHeatingThermostat class.

Can you describe how you see the maping of the GA functions and fields to your Aquarium status device?

In the same way like a room thermostat. At the end I just like to ask for the temp and GA should response the current temp.

Ok, but what about the rest of the thermostat functions? or do you want to use it as a temperature sensor?

In my case it is not necessary. I will not control any thermostat, even not room thermostats.
I only like to know the current temp or humanity (if configured).
