New plugin pimatic-sounds

I can test today or from next week on.

Hi, i can’t publish a new version right now but you can ‘git clone’ etc the new version. Its already on github.

Tried a first test, but the plugin gets not loaded. I can see version 0.0.48 aktive, but not loaded.

Any debug info?

Seems the ping module is missing

after git clone did you do npm install?
ping is in the package, if its not installing, you can do npm install ping in the pimatic-sounds directory

Yes it did, but seems I have ignored erros.

After I did it once more I can see this.

npm ERR! notarget No matching version found for pimatic-sounds@0.0.48.
npm ERR! notarget In most cases you or one of your dependencies are requesting
npm ERR! notarget a package version that doesn't exist.

ok, i will release the new untested version -> 0.0.48, you can install the normal way

Thats hard to say without the details of what you did.

Update is installed and your plugin works again. No idea what went wrong!

Made a short test and stop successful a playing song. Nice works!

Is somebody else facing the problem that speaker groups don’t work after some time? After restart of pimatic the groups work again.

Is the problem with a chromecast group or the group device?

Ok, any debug info? and how long does it take before the group stops working?

Unfortunately no debug in this regard. I had this problem three times now, but I can’t see any specific behaviour behind it. I need to observe it longer and will report then.

Can see all the nice updates for this plugin. Checked Git, but only fast. I have really limited time at the moment.

can you shortly explain the benefit of “Assistant Relay”?

Btw I am getting following message every time I send a text for tts via variable to a speaker:
error [pimatic]: rule tts-googlehome-wohnzimmer error executing an action: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

Any idea?

The Assistant-relay gives a broadcasted announcement by interrupting whatever is playing. It uses the official ‘broadcast’ announcement function.

What is the debug info before the error message?
