pimatic-ultrasonic Plugin ERROR HELP me please

Hello people

I’m new to the club-Pimatic and would like to use the pimatic-Ultrasonic Plugin. Did it also set up the same way as described in the documentation, but there is always the error “error [pimatic-Ultrasonic]: Error reading Ultrasonic HC SR-SR04 with id: Ultrasonic”.

It would be very nice if someone could help me.

Did you try to run the example of https://github.com/clebert/r-pi-usonic?

Do you have a Raspberry2 ?
With this I couldn’t get it to run, too.
On a Raspberry1 it runs as it should.

How comes it that a r2 doesn’t work?

@Oitzu, ok I tested the example in the next days.
@Willy, that’s right, I have a raspberry2

If i remember correctly the pin numbering on the r2 is slightly different… maybe that could be the probem?

This worked for me. Made a ShellSensor and called the script.

The underliying r-pi-usonic seems to have problems with the new raspi.

If you run

sudo node node_modules/r-pi-usonic/example/surveyor.js

in “/home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-ultrasonic” no answer from the sensor will come.

Hi, here’s my report on progress made with the ultrasonic:

1. i tested the example from @Oitzu, and in ssh (putty) get the message:
   “timeout” for about one minute, the stop the message.
   ---- it does not work------

2. i tested the example messen.py from @Willy, and hurra it works .
   Dear Willy, can you post a example for a ShellSensor to integrate in the config.json?

Just to be sure… this isn’t just a pin numbering problem?
The python using pin 16 as trigger and 12 as echo.
The example script (surveyor.js) using pin 23 as trigger and 22 as echo.

@Oitzu, i I changed the pins in the surveryor.js, but it does not work… i start the script end the message is: “timeout”
