Hue-ZLL error: Unexpected token

Hello all,

After using my pimatic flawlessly for about a year, my setup crashed after a power failure. Most of my plugins are working again, except Hue-ZLL. It keeps giving me “Unexpected Token” and won’t work:

I already tried:

• Restart pimatic, raspberry pi
• Reïnstall hue-zll
• Renew config.json
• Make a new hue username. Within the Hue API everything is working fine.

What am i doing wrong?

It’s literally how the logging shows the error. "Unexpected token …"
In the next line the next plugin is loaded.

Ok, after a power failure my pimatic gave strange error messages and didn’t startup anymore. I found out that some strange characters were added at the end of the conf.json. After removing them, Pimatic worked again.
Did you check the config.json on ‘…’ ?

to add. Beside the things you already did you could also:

• Stop the pimatic process. Delete the hue-zll folder in pimatic-app/node_modules. Start pimatic process and the plugin will be reinstalled.
• Or if that didn’t help delete the database folder: node_modules/sqlite3 (with stopping and starting of the pimatic process)
• Or ultimately, reinstall Pimatic and use your saved config.json.

After a power failure it is likely the file system is corrupted. In particular I had this several times when using the SD-Card. In most cases the file systems failures are recoverable (using fsck which should start automatically at boot time), however, some failures aren’t. Removing the corrupted data may do for a while, but it does not mean your files system is in a clean state! If you see strange errors popping up again you should definitely check the file system.

All plugins work fine except hue-zll.

Tried
reinstalling plugin
reinstalling pimatic
created new config.json

Nothing changed

Same issue here. I guess a dependency installed by the plugin isn’t compatible with node 4.x
Will do a trial and error tomorrow to find out which dependency it is.

Tried creating a new docker and upgrading to node 10 (v10.17.0) , this seems to be working but leaves me with new problems:

The plugin is not working either, can’t control my lights

If anyone has a working pimatic-hue situation, would you please post a paste of npm link, to find out dependency versions?

Good to see I am not the only one with that problem.

I ended up creating my own scripts using curl to access the hue api and put them into a shellswitch.

Looks like I got it working. MAke sure you have a clean, fresh, new installation where pimatic-hue never has been installed.

npm install node-hue-api@2.4.4 --unsafe-perm
npm install pimatic-hue-zll

After that you should be able to to use the hue plugin.

I’ve installed pimatic fresh from the official wiki and have node version 10.16.3 but I can’t get hue-zll to work.

Does anyone have a clue why this plugin won’t work?

It is very hard to find any topics with hue. Is this not very popular?

You have to do this on a fresh install with only pimatic, no plugins.In the pimatic-app/node_modules run these commands:

npm install node-hue-api@2.4.4 --unsafe-perm
npm install pimatic-hue-zll

then you can use the hue plugin

I see that the plugin hue-zll won’t shown in Plugins Tab, is that correct?

Edit: Okay, obviously it won’t work with node version 4.8.3.

nevermind, I switched to the raspbee module. much better to handle. thanks anyway
