1 wire hall sensor
Hi,
I’m thinking to build an 1 wire hall sensor using an analog hall sensor connected to a DS2450 A/D converter. I need this to sense a big number of windows state in a building (closed, tilted or fully opened). Can i use the ds18b20 plugin to do this?

short answer: no
long answer: it can be done relatively easy, I believe. The basis for the integration of 1 wire devices on Raspi is specialized file system driver which the application programmer uses to read/write 1wire raw data. The actual protocol implementation is fairly straightforward and there are some C++ implementations for Arduino which can be adapted for Node.js.
I’ll analyse this further and provide some details on how this can be implemented. However, I am looking for volunteer who is ready to do the actual implementation work.
