Serial Driver won ' t work

I 'm trying to install a “fresh” pimatic 0.9.50 installation on a raspberry Pi 3 model B
Operating System: Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)
Kernel: Linux 4.19.50-v7+

When I use a plugin that need the serial driver I get a lot of errors and ends with an exit.
I only loaded the home-duino plugin as an example. See npm-debug.log and pimatic.json

I appreciate any support in this matter

Besides other users also reported issues with node-serialport on buster (see below). The work-around for him was to downgrade the system to stretch for now.

I have installed pimatic-homeduino on a buster test-system which raised an assertion error, however, pimatic continued operation and the installation completed. The plugin also works as expected (tested sending and receiving)
