Pimatic stopped working

Hi,

my Pimatic setup stopped working all of a sudden. I rebooted the RaspberryPi but Pimatic won’t start anymore. I tried several methods on this forum, but nothing seems to work.

Wenn trying to start the server the it says ‘command not found’

*pi@Domotica:~ $ sudo node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js
sudo: node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js: command not found
pi@Domotica:~ $ sudo node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js start
sudo: node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js: command not found*

Any idea how I can get it running again?

For your information, Pimatic was installed by the previous owner of the house we bought, so I’m not an expert at coding etc.

@baeef What happens if you do sudo pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js ?

Did you change to the pimatic directory before?

cd ~/pimatic-app/

Maybe the sd is broken.

How long has the Pi been running on this SD card? My experience is that the cards fail after about 6 months, that’s why I boot from an external usb drive. Do you have a backup-image of the SD card?

At least a year old, maybe older because of the previous owner. I don’t have a back-up as far as I know.

But I understand the code says there is something wrong with the SD-card? Or could it be something else too?

I’m not a developer so i can’t answer the question about the code. I was just hoping Pimatic wouldn’t start because of a wrong path. Worst case you might have to do a fresh install (on a fresh SD card) so i would advice to at least make a backup now of the files /home/pi/pimatic-app/config.json and /home/pi/pimatic-app/pimatic-database.sqlite so you don’t lose the configuration.

Had a closer look at the error messages. I guess you have updated and now it is not working any more.

easiest is this solution:
manually patch ~/pimatic-app/node-modules/i18n/package.json to refer to debug 3.x instead of *
and remove the node-modules folder there
and npm install again there

As I mentioned I’m not an expert at coding, so how do I manually patch the package.json file? Which steps do I have to take?
