Alexa (2nd Generation) can´t find new devices

Hello everyone,

First of all I really appreciate your work. You guys are doing a really good job! I´m a big fan from pimatic but my problem in general is that I have no overview about all the nodes which are written in the code.

Kernel jessi 4.4.50-v7+

pimatic version 0.9.42

pimatic-echo 0.5.3 pluging–ip raspberry 192.168.178.33 Port 80 debug on

node v4.8.3
npm 2.15.11

my problem is, that alexa can´t find new devices.
in my pimatic debug log is written

Is it in general possible, that alexa echo 2nd Generation can find new devices? Can anybody help me out or give me any solutions?
Some further informations: I´m not using any i-brooker and HA -Brige

IMPORTANT: Currently the newer echo devices (echo plus and echo 2nd gen) are not supported with pimatic-echo. Just the echo dot or echo (1st gen) are supported. If you are using both generations, you can search for devices with the old echo, but still control everything from all echoes.

Use HA-Bridge instead

No, I only have Pimatic / Alexa Echo 2nd gen.
No HA Bridge, but wants to install IO-Brocker.
Parallel to this on the Raspberry does not work IO-Brocker does not want to start. Needs node> 6 (got node 4.8.3)
Io broker / pimatic that’s all right or?

test ioBroker in a docker container. It works on pi3 in my home!

@michbeck100 I have two Echo Dot´s, a first and a second gen. Both are using the HA-Bridge wich runs on the same Pi as Pimatic.
I´ve never tested your plugin, so i don´t know the differences.

If i can test something for you, tell me.

@michael-rudek Ok, that doesn’t count, as the problems only arise with the newer echo devices, like echo 2nd gen or echo dot 3rd gen.
Both echo dots (1st and 2nd generation) also work without problems with pimatic-echo. The way things are at the moment, none of the implementations work with the new devices, except if you have one of the older ones (like the echo dot 2nd gen). These will “translate” for the other echos in the network.

But maybe this changed. I am open to conviction.
