Detect single Logitech Harmony keys
Hi!
I’m looking for a possibility to us my Logitech Harmony with a Hub to control lights. The lights are switched via MQTT messages. I found what I’m lloking for in FHEM, but I want to use Pimatic. FHEM emulates a UDP-controlled media player to receive keys from the Harmony (https://forum.fhem.de/index.php/topic,51619.0.html). Does something similar exist for Pimatic or is planned?
@Gleno0h i clicked your link- did you click mine? I want to press keys on the remote and pimatic shall register it and trigger own actions. Not actovities, single keys. Or did i misread something in the plugin description?
@quotschmacher no. I have misunderstood your post and was too fast, my bad.
So you want to “intercept” the key press event from the harmony hub and toggle lights when needed, correct?
In other words:
Press red button -> goes to harmony hub -> activate light with pimatic.
Maybe you could try IFTTT;

But i dont know if this required a IR receiver or even maybe a bluetooth receiver.
Best way would be to intercept harmony hub data(wich goes by wifi) but i cant find anything.

that’s it.
and for the hub data I couldn’t find anything, too. that’s why I posted the fhem link. it fakes a network device, which can be configured in the harmony software and then be used. the calls to the network player are than intercepted by the fake device and send to fhem. that’s exactly what i could imagine to be done in pimatic…
I’m searching for exact the same function. Would be really nice to get it somehow working.
i thing i will go the lirc-way and design a shield for my raspberry, containing ir-receiver and sender and the same for rf 433 mhz devices. so i cover more problems (not named here) and can detect ir-signals i can configure on my own.

@Gleno0h thanks for your advice, but i can’t really find something about receiving ir-signals (despite in the learn-process). it seems that this is just about sending ir-signals.
