For my door and windows sensor I use three rules per sensor.
I use these rules now to hide the sensors in the GUI because when a door or window is closed I am not interested to see it in the GUI.
An example of the rules of one sensor is the following:
The first rule checks if the door is open then the sensor is shown.
The second rule checks if the door is closed and the battery is full, then it is hidden.
The third rule checks if the battery is empty, if so, the sensor is shown and a message is send to my phone.
(The css-startup variable is to show or hide the sensor depending of the state when Pimatic restarts)
I have 20 sensors so I have 60 rules. When I change something in the GUI I have to change all 60 rules.
My question is if the could be something smarter like a “hide parameter” in the device? So we could make a rule with the id of the sensor in it to hide and show the device?
Thanks in advance
