different actions on different echo's with same command

Hi,

i’m using two amazon-echo dot’s at my home. One is located in the basement and one in the first floor and there a some light and devices, which are avaible on each floor, e.g. the ceiling light in the hallway.

Now, my question is, if it’s possible if the echo dot in the basement hallway get’s the command “turn ceiling light on” only the light in the basement is turned on. The same command should also work in the first floor, but here it should switch the hallway light on the first floor on.

This might be helpful if you have multiple devices in different rooms with the same name or if you just want to have a more meaningful name. To work with Alexa these names must be unique. You can also define additional names for your device. For every additional name a new device will be listed in the Alexa app.”

Setting a additional name, lets say Karl, it should respond to it i guess.

Cant see any other method when there is no command filter between pimatic and the echo.

@gleno0h Thanks for your answer. This is already known, but i want to get a bit more intelligence into this. Maybe this is possible using custom skills instead of the pimatic-echo plugin or some settings on the amazon-echo side?
