New plugin [pimatic-css-inject]
-
Hi, how can I remove the slider for color change from the display?
-
Open Chrome, press F12, click the small arrow on the most lefthand top corner of the developer console and click the GUI element you want to change.
Then rightclick the corresponding DOM element (the blue selected line in my case) and copy the selector. Thats it.Now create a rule:
when pimatic is starting then set css "visibility" of "#beleuchtung-tv > div > div.light-brightness-container > div" to "hidden"
The middle part needs to be replaced by your selector.
After a restart of pimatic the slider is hidden.
You could also define a button and a corresponding rule for hiding the slider, then you don’t need to restart pimatic for displaying it again. -
Now I’m getting desperate!
I installed the cssinject and did everything exactly as in the manual!
F12, the selector copies everything into the new rule and then restarts everything!
Now Pimatic seems to be unavailable, I tried to get over the IP in Pimatic, but it doesn’t work anymore!
I already tried everything, restart Raspberry, restart the router but nothing works anymore… -
Please connect via SSH to your RaspberryPi and post the last lines of the pimatic-daemon.log file from ~/pimatic-app/
-
Ssh is currently not possible but after some restarts I was able to reconnect!
However, the Sloder is still there and if you click on the slider now when the dummy is off, the light goes on 100%? -
Please provide a screenshot of the DOM (chrome developer console) and select the corresponding line like in my screenshot.
Please also provide a screenshot of the rule. For testing purposes add a Dummy Button and modify the rule till it works.
when dummy-button is turned off then set css "visibility" of "#beleuchtung-tv > div > div.light-brightness-container > div" to "hidden"
and
when dummy-button is turned on then set css "visibility" of "#beleuchtung-tv > div > div.light-brightness-container > div" to "visible"

Did you place the css-inject device somewhere in the GUI?
What about the rules with a dummy-button? Doesn’t they work too?
-
With Dummybutton I have to try it first!
How should I place css-inject?
What do I have to set for the settings? -
There are no needed settings. Just create a CssInjectDevice and place it somewhere in the frontend.
-
Since I tried the css rule, nothing is running anymore!
Rasberry crashes then no connection to Pimatic possible anymore!
Unfortunately now my time is over and I can’t continue until 2 weeks later!
I hope I can come back to that!
Thank you very much -
Then there seems to be an error in your rule.
I just tried it for my own and it works as expected. Please configure a rule without the “pimatic is starting” clause and work with dummy devices as long as you could be sure that your rules work.

version 0.1.1 released 2018-03-04

Hello!
I can’t get into Pimatic anymore!
I already tried to completely uninstall and reinstall Pimatic with instructions from the forum, that didn’t work!
The message “could not connected” is always displayed!
What exactly do I have to do to completely uninstall and reinstall Pimatic without re-installing the Raspberry?
I would like to start all over again!
Thank you -
Is Pimatic running?(
sudo service pimatic status
)
Whats in the Log? -
What does the pimatic-daemon.log say?
Please open a new thread in the troubleshooting section, as this issue is not related to the css-inject plugin.
-
Since Pimatic is now running again I would like to try again to remove the slider!
To avoid making another mistake I would like to know how exactly I have to use css-inject!I load the plugin CSS-Injekt
and create a device with the class CSS-Injekt
This device should then be visible on the side with the other devices.
Then I copy the selector from the DOM and integrate it into the rule
but instead of "When Pimatic is starting"
a dummy switch to test it!Is that so far correct?

Yes, right!
As I wrote before:when dummy-button is turned off then set css "visibility" of "#beleuchtung-tv > div > div.light-brightness-container > div" to "hidden"
and
when dummy-button is turned on then set css "visibility" of "#beleuchtung-tv > div > div.light-brightness-container > div" to "visible"
Where #beleuchtung-tv is the id of you milight device.
