I also saw the problems some guys had when we start to support new devices which had additional dependencies. So I am ok with splitting it.
If you like to undertake this effort, just go for it! I currently don’t have much time to spend for this project.

Well… sweetpi mentioned above he would like to include the gui part directly into pimatic.
What happened about that? -
I can’t change colors with my wifi370 from pimatic, any one else got that problem?

What happened about that?To get the ball rolling someone has to provide a PR on the pimatic-frontend repository. This should be done of the color picker is considered as being stable and everyone is happy with it as is. Once the PR is in place it is on @sweetpi to review it for acceptance.

Hm… should be a simple task of copy & paste task to integrate the base-class?
Is somebody on this? If not i would maybe look into this at the weekend. -

Yes, should be straightforward. It is great you’re planning to look into this!

Quick note while testing current state: It should be documented, that “libudev-dev” is needed to be installed to install this plugin.

I used your plugin with some code & a pcb that I designed a while ago to connect my cheap ebay rgb ledstrips to my pimatic installation using a esp8266 wifi chip. Basically, I implemented the wifi370 protocol on the esp8266 and used PWM outputs of the chip to drive the ledstrip. Therefore I was able to use your plugin without any modifications, which is nice.
A demo video here: http://youtu.be/MzmGHIzuEzY
Nice work, i ordered some esp8266/wifi370 boards from my favorite China PCB Manufacture (imall, itead). To find the Mosfet’s was hard, but in ebay i got 5 for 3 bucks. http://www.ebay.com/itm/351208256312
Thanks for your work, in ~1m i’ll send some pics

@philip1986 I really would like to do that, but I don’t have any experience in writing plugins…
I do have a little experience in programming…
How easy is it to implement this you think? -
I looked into this at the weekend but my opinion is, that it still needs some work to fit better in the overall look & feel of pimatic before integrating it into the pimatic core.
Altough i created a PR with a dummy-led-device for testing etc. without an actual LED-Device present.

@Oitzu nice to hear that somebody it working on it. I am sure there are a lot of space for improvements, UI isn’t one of my strengths
. Btw: I merged PR a few minutes ago, so keep on going
@Cryonic90 just try to start with it ans raise questions whenever you’re stuck with something. Than create a PR, this PR must not be perfect from the beginning. I or other guys will have comments if something can be done better, this how you improve your code and your development skills.

I’ve got a problem when installing this plugin and using Miligh with it. After changing colors it always gives an error with setColor.
I’m using the milight.coffee from @mwittig now, that one works, but reading this topic I thought that this was solved? -
Will there be a new release some time soon? The last release 0.1.0 is a lot commits ago.
I’m planning to include all devices from pimatic-led-light in pimatic-hap. Since i don’t have a led light by myself, i would like to test with the DummyLedLight class, which isn’t included in version 0.1.0.pimatic-hap - pimatic HomeKit bridge
pimatic-echo - Amazon echo integration
pimatic-dash-button - Amazon dash button support
pimatic-alarm - pimatic alarm system

@philip1986 Since you didn’t answer the last question i did some additions to your plugin: https://github.com/philip1986/pimatic-led-light/pull/33
I hope you will be answering soon. If not, you probably stopped development on pimatic-led-light. and i think i will create a fork of your plugin and release it under a new name.pimatic-hap - pimatic HomeKit bridge
pimatic-echo - Amazon echo integration
pimatic-dash-button - Amazon dash button support
pimatic-alarm - pimatic alarm system

@michbeck100 Please, wait for one more week. Philip has been very active on the project in the past and highly appreciate his contributions. As he may neither get forum or guthub notifications by e-mail I have contacted Philip directly by e-mail as a last resort.
As indicated on issue #34 I asked him for co-access to the github and npmjs project to help with project maintainance. Let’s wait till December 22nd. If there is no response may be we can collaborate on creating the package.
UPDATED: @michbeck100 I have received a swift response from Philip. He has added me as co-maintainer. So, I’ll create a new release based on the current master and I’ll take care about you PR shortly after!
