Pimatic will not start

Hallo my Pimatic will not start. I have the following in my Log:

What can be the Problem. Sometimes the Pimatic will start.

It could be a corrupt sd card. Did you check that already?

Yes of course. I maked an Image and have change the card.

so you are able to start pimatic most of the time but just sometimes it won’t start?
does the error even occur when pimatic is running, so that pimatic exits itself?

Yes, you are right. Sometimes it won´t start.
The Problem is, that pimatic stop itself, by running.
My first step to solve the Problem, is to restart Pimatic every night with crontab.
If I reboot the Raspi, than start pimatic without failure.
I have already changed the psu.

which raspi do you use? and what raspian or linux OS are you on?
maybe there is the issue?

Which plugins are running?
Execute sudo pimatic.js and post that log.

With sudo pimatic.js it starts without failure.
If i use service pimatic start or restart, than it fails.
Service pimatic stop works fine.

@knudi76 would be great if you can post the output after you do sudo pimatic.js

I believe i have seen a post about the service script, that it failed for more people. It also failed for me but i always use sudo pimatic.js start

Looking at the /etc/init.d/pimatic file, it simply executes “pimatic.js” so there would be no problem if you want to use pimatic.js to start it.

Non the less, you could add the full path to pimatic.js in the init.d file:

sudo whereis pimatic.js

Would probably output /usr/local/bin/pimatic.js

Then

sudo nano /etc/init.d/pimatic

Add the path so

pimatic.js $1

Becomes:

/usr/local/bin/pimatic.js $1

IF whereis pimatic.js outputs for example /home/pi/pimatic.js (which would be highly unlikely) then make sure you add /home/pi to the /etc/init.d/pimatic file on the “PATH=” line.

Maybe that would fix the service.

If that doesnt work and you really need it as a service then please post your /etc/init.d/pimatic file here.

Thanks for your answer. If i start pimatic.js, there is already green, it works fine. I will test your proposal.
