execute rule through api

I’m a proud pimatic user. I have a small alarm system with pimatic and 433 mhz receivers. When my backdoor opens when it’s day, my doorbell rings short. At night, when my backdoor opens, my doorbell keeps ringing.

Problem, when I leave to work soon, or come home at night late (not from work ), i want to mute the bell. I have an action for this.

Now I bought tasker so I can have a widget on my phone to execute the mute rule ($mute = 1 for 2 minutes).
I can execute an actionString (turn on/off lights), but I can’t seem to find the api for execution of rules. Please help.

i dont know if its the best solution and fits to your problem but you can work around by creating a new switch or button and trigger your rule if you turn on your switch with tasker!

I have a button, but also no idea how to “push” the button through API.

any help?

sorry i’m not so familiar with the pimatic api, but maybe @sweetpi has a clue?

How does the condition of the rule you want to execute look like?

Just enable the rule should force the rule to reevaluate the condition and run the action, if the condition is ture:

PATCH /api/rules/:ruleId

{rule: {active: true}}

But the condition must true, else nothing will happen.

Unfortunately, this does not seem the case with pimatic 0.9! I have tested the case and the rule gets activated as it should but the action isn’t executed (condition hold true). It even does not work if the rule has been explicitly deactivated and gets activated again.
