I can’t see the events send by the motion sensor at the gateway. The sensor only changes the group. I’m still trying to get a possibility.

Apparently, it has already been implemented as part of pytradfri - https://github.com/ggravlingen/pytradfri/issues/50

One guy reported he bought one at a IKEA store in Germany. Note, however, the item isn’t listed online yet and I could not find any official announcement or press release, either.

I was yesterday in my Ikea store and the have the RGB-Bulbs I think they cost about 39€

Quick question, does this plugin/ ikea bridge supports direct connection, so if a motion detector detects movements, does pimatic knows it directly? or does it take some seconds?

Is it possible to use a group device as dimmer and not only a switch? like the pimatic-hue plugin

The problem with the motion sensor is, that they only send signals directly to the lamps or the gateway doesn’t show any event. I see only the reaction in the group. So a motion sensor or a remote are always together with a group.

One way is to make a empty group with the motion sensor only.

I’m on holiday right now. I will release a new version soon. There are some improvements and bug fixes in the queue.

There is a new tradfri RGB bulb available in Germany and most likely other countries. It’s not listed on any Ikea website though.

@kosta so it is not possible to use the motion controller to trigger something like an alert directly? But I’d rather need to use the connected lamp state in my rules?

I have buyed a RGB-Bulb too. But I can’t change the color because I was shown as a normal bulb.

i just released a new version. (latest 0.1.13)

• First: RGB bulbs are supported !!
  You must recreate or scan the bulbs with the new device class.
  The GUI shows a colorpicker.
  Currently there is only an action-provider with RGB-HEX values.

• Groups are now also dimming devices

• and some bug-fixes

@kosta just released a new version of pimatic-hap already with support for the new RGB bulbs (just dimming for now)

I get the message “Gateway not found” in Pimatic. Checked the security code several times. In my Fritzbox the gateway got an IP, in Pimatic it is found with pimatic-ping.

Where in the Tradfri App can I check the security code?

@hanss My Security Code contains a lower case L which looks like upper case i. Maybe thats a similar problem

@hanss the most problems are typos. Please double check the secret key. Maybe a typo with O / 0 or 1 / l.
The security key is in the app not visible. You can reset the app and pair the app again to check the key.

@hanss another thing you can try is to unplug and replug the power of the tradfri gateway. i have a similar issue after restarting pimatic.
the tradfri gateway needs to be restarted too.
@kosta do you have any information on that?

I tripple checked the key, scanned the QR Code on my Mac and copy and pasted the result: The key is correct! I think its a firmware prob, I have 1.0.0008 on the gateway and no chance to update via the app.

@hanss that’s bad. My version is 1.1.0015. I don’t know with what version I started developing.
Give me some time. I will send you a development version with more output. What is your exact error message?
