Support for Proove/Telldus TSS320 Thermo/Hydro sensor

Thanks for the nice framework for home automation. Do you know if somebody has created a support for Proove/Telldus TSS320 Thermo/Hydro sensor? The sensor is this one https://www.teknikmagasinet.se/produkter/hem-o-hushall/termometrar/proove-tss320-termo-hygrosensor

I have tried to search for a library for it but those seem to be only for Proove switches.

Are you planning to buy this sensor or do you already already own it?

• If you’re planning to buy, my advice is to take the list of supported devices into account, see https://forum.pimatic.org/topic/35/supported-devices-plug-and-play/ section “Weather”.
• If you already own it and you already hhave a pimatic-homeduino setup (receiver required, at least) you can give a try if it is picked by one of the protocols.
• An alternative to pimatic-homeduino if you don’t use pimatic-homeduino, yet, may be to look into “rflink” which is also supported by pimatic using pimatic-rflink. Rflink seems to support the sensor in question - http://www.nemcon.nl/blog2/2015/07/devlist

Thanks for the reply. I already have this sensor (actually 2 of them) and I also have pimatic-homeduino installed. Reason I wrote this post is that I cannot see anything in the debug from these sensors. I have some other temperature sensors working with pimatic like DHT-11 connected to my raspberry.
Thanks for the hint related to rflink. I’ll check it. I just have current setup running fine and also sending data to thingspeak. Hopefully that is possible with rflink as well.

While checking the rflink I noticed it requires more HW, at least arduino mega and maybe that specific board. And even if I buy those parts I cannot be sure it supports Proove sensor.

So is there a way to use that library in pimatic? Or someway to convert it for pimatic?

One option is to use pimatic and insteadd of buying hw related to rflink just to buy temperature sensor working with pimatic.

if you provide the debug data and the related temperature and humidity values there might be a dev that could help integrating this into a pimatic protocol for homeduino

Thanks for the info. That is what I actually tried to do but can you help me to get the needed debug data? How to do it so that this could be developed? I could not see the debug data in the pimatic messages.

Please copy and post the log homeduino debug messages from the log file pimatic-app/pimatic-daemon.log.

I have one prologue also sending and that it has value 9,1. This proove is also trying to send but when I see the red led on prologue I cannot see anything in the log (at that time). Anyways the temperature sent by proove is 24.7.

Wait… I am a bit confused now. You do not receive any debug data of the sensor?
And from what sensor is the above data from?

So maybe that on the top is from proove sensor? and the rest of the stuff is from proloque sensor which is my secondary sensor and working just fine.

well could be that the first part is indeed from your proove sensor. you can test if you open your sensor at the back, there should be a transmit button. press it some more times and you will see if it sends data to pimatic, or if pimatic is able to pickup your sensor.
is the temp of 12.1 degrees correct, guess not?
if you get the debug data and you are sure this is the correct debug for the device, we need the exact temp and humidity to develop a protocol

Unfortunately there is no transmit button in this device. I tried battery removal and I can see that it transmits something because there is a small led indicating that but unfortunately I cannot see anything in the pimatic. Not even what I posted earlier. I’ll keep trying and if I get something I’ll post it here. Also if somebody else gets has proove and get some data out of it then please post it here.

Yes might be and looks like that.
Could it be because there is no protocol for it or because of my 433MHz Superheterodyne RF chip?

it’s not because of the hardware. the homeduino firmware is not yet able to receive all RF transmissions/protocols. Sorry that I cannot explain it in detail.
