Switches not working

Hey guys,

I am using pimatic-homeduino with some RF wall plugs and a raspi (without an Arduino). Most of the time these plugs aren’t switched on/off via the pimatic interface. Is this a usual issue?

(Should I use an Arduino to filter the signals)?

Ok some questions. Which pi do you use? What switches do you try to switch (brand/type number), which rf hardware do you have?

Without these questions it’s just guessing. Don’t have my crystal ball right with me 😅

And yes … An Arduino would be a good choice flashed with our homeduino firmware!

I am using a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B together with Brennenstuhl RCS 1000N’s.

Mostly only 1 of the 3 switches works, the other ones are shown to change state in the webapp, but not aren’t actually. Is there maybe any protocol to get the current state of the switch and then let pimatic check, if the state is right. Or is there any other thing I can do to fix this error?

Good morning. I have experimented alot lately to get my gear goin it works fantastic. Thanks pimatic team! i have found lots of info on this forum. I wanted to give up at one moment the last weeks but i finally have an up running system going.
Im really not an expert but isnt it the transmitter that gives you this problem? Maybe you can try to get an helicoil antenna or a 15cm copper wire to improve the signal.

@TheOnlyNexus if you have the remote you can press the buttons and check the debug messages. If I am not wrong your plugs should be switch1 of switch 2 protocol.
Please also check here for your RF hardware!!

And as @countjuh said maybe try with an antenna connected. An helicoil or maybe just a 17.3 cm wide should do the job, one the sender and on the transmitter.

Getting a status from a common 433mhz device won’t work since this is just a one way protocol unless your hardware has a sender and receiver. There is a kaku switch that can do this but actually i don’t know the type number.
