[Solved] max! cant set temperature per room

hello,

sry, me english ist bad.

i have a max cube with 1 room to bind all devices. in pimatic i have setup groups and put the devices in.

if i change the temperatur on one device direct, alle devices become the new temperature, if i change the temperature in pimatic all devices become the same temperature.

is the problem the room in max! cube? Or Config Wrong?

ich habe alle Geräte an meinem Cube angelernt, da ich dafür einen Raum brauche habe ich die alle in einen Raum gepackt. Wenn ich nun die Temperatur direkt am Gerät oder via Pimatic verändere bekommen alle Räume die Temperatur zugewiesen.

Ist der angelegte Raum in max! cube das Problem? Oder ist was falsch Konfiguriert?

yes, you should create a room in max cube for each room in your flat. You can set temperatures only per room, not per device. So all devices in the same room will have the same temperature setpoint.

Like Anduril says,
you have to create a room inside the MAX! Software! for every thermostat group you want to have with independend temp. settings.

The settings are stored inside the Max!-thermos and the cube is only the gateway to the network.
I far as I know the connection you made is now programmed to be handeled device independend, without using the cube (and shure without pimatic).

pimatic uses the cube to communicate with the thermostats.
it is the “gateway” for the pimatic-max plugin.

also the cube is the “master” as you say. all stored data / timetables etc. on the cube is always triggered and will be executed as long as you are in the auto mode on your thermostats.

if changing to manual mode, all actions from the cube will be ignored.
this way you can make sure to only operate with pimatic.

if you are on auto mode, you are able to set up the timetable and run predefined tempreatures for example. you are still able to run pimatic commands, these will be sent to the thermostats via the cube (gateway) and will be executed. but if the timetable from the cube will provide an action, it overrides the previous pimatic command.

to answer your question - the groups in pimatic do not have any effect on the execution.
they are just for better overview on the gui.
if you have a room in the cube and put all thermostats in there, the cube will operate all thermostats the same way. so better to create rooms as they exist or use the manu mode and control all options with pimatic and rules or thermostat plugins

Just for completeness: I don’t think using manu mode will make the devices act independently from each other if they are still programmed to the same room in Max cube. Manu mode just ignores the timetable commands. (please correct me if not)

Yes, I think this is the way it works. … and like @leader21 sayed: pimatic “groups/rooms” do not have any effect to device functions. It’s only to separete and manage them on pimatic screen.

I would separate all Thermos to separate rooms inside MAX! software config anyway. Maybe a bit work for a moment, but it’s alway better to manage it equal to the real world. Once properly configured with basic schedules for every real room, it can act independend even while pimatic is down for example.

This is right. Even in manual mode, when I open a window that has a contact that is in the same room like the thermostat, the set temp of the thermostat is going down. For me this is useful. If I want another behaviour I just have to “invent” new rooms and assign the sensors and actors accordingly.
