Prebuilt pimatic raspbian image

Would be great if we can offer a pre built SD-Card image with pimatic already set up and some configurations for 24/7 operation (Log ramdisk etc.)

I currently don’t know how creating such an image and maintaining it could be done without much effort.

For a start we could use Pi Bakery but as far as I understood it, it is not really creating an image but rather a script which runs on the first boot and installs everything.

As a base I would suggest the “RASPBIAN JESSIE LITE” distro.

Great idea! I thought about using something like picoreplayer uses as a base.
It would be read only ond only mount root for confog saving. Maybe log could be written to usb drives or network drives…

The problem is that I am no linux pro and can’t do it myself…

have discussed pibakery before here but did not keep track of it. in the meantime i have built two recipes for pi bakery. feel free to test and report back

piBakery recipe pimatic from scratch with manual autostart - right click to save
piBakery recipe pimatic from scratch including autostart - right cklick to save

user : admin
password : password

the password for admin is hardcoded in the piBakery recipe. change if you want to!
for that you need to change the command in this line here :

sudo sed -i "s/\"password\": \"\"/\"password\": \"PUTYOURPASSWORDHERE\"/g" /home/pi/pimatic-app/config.json

or just change later with nano or how you prefer to …
