i’m using a NodeMCU as a IF-Gateway to control my AV and TV Receiver with the following sketch

Pimatic is accessing the API with rules.
Everythink is placed within a smal plasic box behind my sofa.
This worked quied well for about 6 monthes but yesterday the NodeCU WiFi died.
The device wasn’t reachable so i checked the serial output.
The sketch stucked in the WiFi Connect loop.
As i changed nothing at my wifi config and all other devices are connecting fine, i transfered the sketch to an other NodeMCU i had in spare. Booted up and connected instantly.
Do anybody know if there is an hardware issue with the NodeMCU Wifi chip randomly dying?
