Soldering an antenna onto 433mhz sending module

Hi, I recently bought this antenna to solder it onto my 433 mhz sending module.

So I cut off the plug, and quite unsirprisingly, it turnes out to have a two-wired cable.
Now the question is: Which one to solder onto the module? inner one? outer one? both?
And if I only need to solder one of them, can I solder the other one onto the receiving module to increase that range?

You must solder the inner one to the antenna port of the module and the outer one to ground.

Jep, did this yesterday and worked like a charm

The antenna looks good.
How are your experiences with the range ?
You use it as a transmitter antenna, right ?

Before i used the cheep 433 mhz module (MX-FS-03V) with a soldered cable as an antenna. Connected directly to the Pi.
This worked fine until yesterday. My wife started to cover the house with cristmas decoration and cristmas lights.
I was tiered of switching tons of lights on/off every day i bought some new 433 plugs from amazon cyber week and used them for controlling the christmas tree bling bling story.
Most were working, but some plugs at the corner of the house not.

So i finally switched to 433 mhz module to a RXB6 433Mhz and soldered the antenna. I already had the stuff at home, but never replaced it (never touch a running system). Now all plugs are working.

Because i changed the module and the antenna, i can’t really say if only switching the antenna makes a difference.
May you can give it a try

I also use the MX-FS-03V at the moment
For the TinyTx (battery remote sensor), which I am currently working on, I would like to use the antenna.
These work with the RFM12B

My wife is also quite excited about the switchable lighting in the bedroom and has already asked me how it looks with the Christmas decoration

Cheers mate, i was quite happy with the ańtenna before as i soldered both wires onto the antenna port but now its even better. Or at least it feels like. Need to get a second one for the receiver though, I guess
