Serialport build issue in homeduino / rflink

I have trouble with installing the pimatic-homeduino. Also with pimatic-rflink. Both are related to the serialport 2.0.6. See log files included in this thread.

I had issued the commands:

npm install pimatic-homeduino

npm install pimatic-homeduino --unsafe-perm

Both reported the same issue.

A seperate installation of serialport 4.0.6. is passed. I am able to read any chars through a certain device like ttyS1.

How can I change the serial port version to 4.0.6?

The node.js version you have installed is currently not supported. Please downgrade to nodejs 4.6.2 - https://nodejs.org/dist/latest-v4.x/
When you done this, make sure you have npm version 2 installed (which is bundled with node 4)

It is now working with proper installation for npm (v2.15.11) and node (4.6.2). I have executed the following due to Dessy distribution for Banana Pro

FIRST INSTALLATION

apt-get install npm
Downgrade to npm version 2.15.11 (version 2.x is needed for pimatic):
npm install -g npm@latest-2
apt-get install build-essential

DOWGRADE NODE TO 4.6.2 VERSION (needed for pimatic)

However there is an error in RF-link when attaching to the serial driver. How to solve it?

I found a topic about a workaround until this issue is solved. Hopefully on short term.

I found a workaround to avoid it crashing on me. opening the RFLink with minicom until after Pimatic is listening on HTTP will avoid this and let it connect and go on it's way
