pimatic-homeduino slow sending after receiving

Hello all!

Question; I have a contact sensor (protocol contact3) and I’m using it to turn a light on or off. It is working fine, but overall it takes about 2~3 seconds to turn the light on when the door is opened. Is it possible to reduce the time as 2~3 seconds is quitte a long time to turn a light on.

*For contact3 I cannot set the rfrepeats or something like that (maybe hardcoded?).

are other rf devices also slow in receiving? what if you switch on the lamp directly, does it work immediately? or does switching on rf plugs or other devices take a longer time too?

which hardware do you use? homeduino via arduino nano or homeduino via gpio on the pi?
and which receiver do you have?

another question, which pi/computer/whatever pimatic runs on do you use?
is there running something else on the system, maybe the system is too slow.

I’m using a rasoberry pi 2b and homeduino is connected via GPIO. When I use the GUI to control a light it’s really quick with no delay. It looks like pimatic is waiting for al the receives of the contact sensor as the sensor is sending a lot of packages. But for me it’s ok to turn the light on after just one receive .

The lamp receiver is a KlikAanKlikUit (KAKU) unit.

CPU of the is around 4~8% all the time (I think this is ok).

I have a simliar problem. This can´t be fixed in software. The Problem is, and mostly it is coming from intertechno devices, that it will “FLOOD” the same code several times.
You can´t mix receive and send code together because it will result (often) in not turning the light on.

Btw. workaround:

Still use the Door-switch to TURN the lights ON.
Then as use a ESP device as switching device. -> 0.5 to max. 1 sec. response time

@hyperx that’s exact the problem! ESP sounds good but new for me . Do you have a link or something what I need and how to set it up with pimatic?

I´m using SONOFF as relay, flashed with ESPeasy as discriped here in the forum.
Try searching about “SONOFF”
