I I understand correctly, you can receive a RF weather device without issues when the RF receiver is connected to the Pi, but not with ESPimaticRF. Is that correct?
How about other RF devices, can you receive their commands when connected to the ESP?

I have never testen with a RF receiver attached to the homeduino ESP, so there is missing some code to push the received info to pimatic :o
I will see if I can add some code to the develop version later this day.

I have a working pimatic system with a 433Mhz sender and receiver connected to the GPIO,
This is working fine with some rf switches and a RF temperature station xiron-temperature-humidity-sensor-2-weather and 3 door sensors.
So when i connected the ESP module the only thing what i change was the config from pimatic.

The only thing what is working is to switch some switches (So sending is working)
What not is working is receiving some code for the weather station and the door sensors.

I wanted to try the ESP, but after loading the file from SPIFFS a message is displayed

@Milos Well, I’m stupid. I changed the ESPimaticRF.ino file and added the ssidStored and passStored variables. It made an empty config file. I changed the ESPimaticRF.ino file on line no 348.

I ordered the ESP’s in China so I have a week or 3 to inform myself to see what the next steps are.
I have downloaded the zip file from Github - ESPimaticRF-master.zip and the ESP Core files 2.3.0 also in a zip file. Now I am looking already for 30 minutes to the next sentence:
"Download all the files and place in correct folders (ESP8266 core can have older ArduinoJson library, make sure you don’t use that one!). Compile and upload to ESP"

I have never worked with Arduino 1.6.5 and I really don’t know what is ment. what and where are the correct folders.
Is it possible that someone explanes these sentences / what and how to do for a noob like me 
. It may take some time, i’m not in a hurry and have time enough!

Firstly I think you will need to get the development branch, not the master.
Then just get the libraries required and hit the verify button and take it from there.

Run ArduinoIDE and install ESP8266 from https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino#installing-with-boards-manager.
Download ESPimaticRF https://github.com/koffienl/ESPimaticRF/archive/development.zip and unzip to Arduino folder:
Linux - ~/Arduino/
Windows - C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino
Move folder libraries from ESPimaticRF folder to folder Arduino.
Open file ESPimaticRF.ino . You can try to compile.

@Milos I downloaded ESPimaticRF and have a ESPimaticRF-development (map) unzipped. As I read above I have to place this map in C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino?! Afterwards I have to move the libraries map from ESPimaticRF-development to C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino?!
But in the map C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino is allready a map libraries. Do you mean that the files from the libraries map from the zip file must be moved to the existing libraries map (C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino\libraries)??
Do I have to place the whole map ESPimaticRF-development (from the zipfile) in the map C:\users\USERNAME\Documents\Arduino or only de maps/files below ESPimaticRF-development??

After trying to open ESPimaticRF.ino the program told me that this file should be in the ESPimaticRF map so I renamed ESPimaticRF-development to ESPimaticRF. Now when I start IDE and go to file-scetch I see ESPimaticRF and from there it opens the ino file and see programdata. I think this is what I need to have??
Unzip the zip file to your .\Arduino folder. Rename the folder to ESPimaticRF if is has a different name.
Move the libarier inside now .\Arduino\ESPimaticRF\libraries to .\Arduino\Libraries as shown below in a temp folder:

On the note of libraries, the requirement to edit the pubsubclient library is a but suboptiamal in my book; isn’t there a way to define a pre processor directive to include -D MQTT_MAX_PACKET_SIZE=512? to override the default for this particular sketch only?

another alternative is to create a special boards.txt entry, but it also seems like a long way around the issue.
