@thex yeah. Guess there has to be a polling Pattern. The Hue Bridge plugin does that too for it’s devices i think.

thank you for the nice plugin. Is there a way to control the hamony hub activitiys over the rest-api from pimatic? Did you have a example for that? Is this an “action” task in the rest-api?

i guess so. the hubs are all similiar.
my hub has the m/n O-R0004 and the p/n 815-000101

Can you add a Screenshot from your Pimatic? I want to see what is so possible with this Plugin.

I want do stuff like this -> If Xbox present (ping) than turn on TV and Audio etc

you can use rules like you want to - when XBOX is present THEN press TV on just for example. You need to use ‘press’ like you want to acivate a button.

the good thing is - once you have installed your hub, you can do a device discovery and all your remotes will show up in pimatic. it’s great. i have two dashes. one for all options and one just for the “favorite” buttons.

ah okay … in Guides to the Hub there say you Add “actions” in the Hub, if see it correct Pimatic can also handle this “Actions”?

And its possible to add more than one Hub? i think for two Rooms i need two Hubs, right?

at the moment it’s only one hub possible as far as i see.
but you are right, if you are having several rooms you need more hubs.

maybe @thex has some more information on that?

hm … yes, good one. i have no idea what you mean maybe you are talking about different “scenes” ? so have a look at my picture. The first frame says activities - there you are having several actions together in one button. thats what you mean i guess - you switch on the playstation, the tv starts and the stereo will start too, so all devices are on with only one button. that’s what you need to configure in the harmony software. then pimatic will import it with the auto discovery

in the German version there call it “Erstellen einer Aktion” (create a Action) … and want to know if this can also imported to Pimatic or if i have to create this new in pimatic

yes, that’s what i said above. actions are activities. it’s working. so press one button like watch tv and all “gizmos” will turn on

Ah okay thx, sometimes im a littlebit slow …a last question …will alexa find the buttons with the alexa plugin? (I already can use wakeonlan and homeduino without problems…and both are not offical Supported by the Plugin)

the problem with the alexa plugin is that it can only use the first button of each device array.
so if you have a on / off device you may switch on but not off … this is already on the todo list of the echo plugin.
haven’t searched for, but isn’t there already a native alexa skill for the hub ?

The Activitys should be work or not? There are just 1 / 0 swichtes or are there also buttondevices?

That the wakeOnlan Plugin is now working with alexa is so nice “alexa Computer on”

how to activate autodiscovery - installed the plugin, created a new HarmonyHubActivitiesButtonsDevice - but didn’t find the id’s. I enable debug mode - but couldn’t find somethin in the log.

Is it right that it*s currently not possible to make a long press like:

if... then press aButton for 3 seconds

Some devices can be controled via only one power button. Depending from the time the button is pressed it will be powered on or off.
Could this be it will be powered on or off implemented?
