Thanks, but this should also be found during auto-discovery. It’s on the list vendor ids filtered during autodiscovery.
Amazon has 10 vendor ids assigned, btw.

Maybe it founds one of my Amazon-Box or Amazon-Stick?

Yes, this may happen, as there is no information about which of the 10 vendor ids assigned to Amazon are used for dash-buttons. So, I am filtering for all of them and this will also find other Amazon gear in your network. I may find measures to detect Amazon boxes and sticks to filter them out - maybe be checking for some open port - well, I need to look into this.
EDIT: Possibly boxes and sticks listen on ports 8008 and 8009 for Chromecast.

First Dash Button AC:63:BE:
Fire-TV-Box A0:02:DC:
Fire-TV-Stick 74:75:48:
So both of my Dash-Buttons have the same first 6 Digits of the MAC-Adress.
@V1per Released pimatic-amazing-dash-button@0.9.7
This version provides improved auto-discovery. Chromecast devices should no longer be discovered as dash-button devices.

@leader21 Yupp! Looks pretty awesome
ok, please read the below thread if you need a dash sticker.
for all who have already got the dash sticker, you should place the sticker on the microphone hole and push it smoothly towards the button hole. if you are having bubbles try to sweep them to the edges with a cloth. Now go ahead with the button sticker. After both are in their position use a hair dryer and heaten the stickers on the dashbutton for some seconds to soften the edges of the sticker.
Now you can stick the letters and the logo with the clear transfer ribbon.

Hmm… I can’t get it to work - I stopped the setup before selecting a product but the dash button doesn’t flash white, only red and I can’t auto-discover it. Maybe Amazon changed the process in the app to make it mandatory to select a product before they update the button with the WiFi settings? That’s what I would do if I would want to prevent those kinds of hacks…
Yes, unfortunately Amazon changed their DashButton hardware and the app. It isn’t possible any longer to finish the dash button setup without selecting a product.
I have a JK29LP dash button and have to block it via my router.
But I can’t test it with pimatic, because the installation of libpcap-dev fails on my Pi 3.

Strange, the version it is trying to install on your system is very old. On my system (Pi 3 with Raspbian Jessie) it is version 1.6.2-2! Which Debian version do you have installed?

I think the information given in the blog partially wrong or incomplete. I have a JK29LP and managed to use the button without choosing a product (however this may now as the app has been updated meanwhile). Moreover, my button is sending ARP requests rather than bootp requests as said by the author. However, there are several posts about dash-buttons no longer working and they no longer emit ARP requests. The assumption is that all buttons may be affected by an OTA firmware update (which I didn’t get as I have block internet access for the button). I’ll investigate the matter further and trial with another button. Should this button switch to bootp. I’ll extend the plugin accordingly.

propertyNext step is to look into BOOTP and rumours on a changed dash-button firmware. There is some confusion around the question whether the “new” dash-button doesn’t send ARP probes at all (which I doubt) or most of the dash-button libraries and tools (which are more adaptions from a single source, btw) performed ARP filtering with invalid restrictions (if pkt[ARP].psrc == ‘0.0.0.0’). Some background information is provided in the following article which also appears to be the basis for parts of the German blog post mentioned earlier on this thread.
