It would be more user friendly if its possible to add devices trough the web interface. Like:

Choose your sensor/actuator.

Scene? (combining several devices instead of ruling)

Adding devices and use them without rebooting. If this is possible it prevents config problems with some people and not knowing what’s possible with different devices.

I think @sweetpi is working on a gui to implement rules - probably that’s for devices, too? (at some point)

@sweetpi any plans, when can we have the option to add devices dynamically from GUI or any possibility to add devices on the fly with the help of code when pimatic is in running state?

It will be available in the future. But currently it needs a lot of work.

Is possible to see in the web interface (group of rules) buttons for rules?
eg: (“Rule X” button Off / On)
      (“Rule Y” button Off / On)
(“Rule ALL” button Off / On)

as this request has the most votes… i´m just curious about the current dev-status… any news on it?

yes, sweetpi is working on it. If it gets ready I suppose it will come up in v0.9

It will come with v0.9. The implementation is almost finished. However there are some smaller bugs to fix. You can already try it by checking out the v0.9 branch of pimatic and the development branch of the pimatic-mobile-frontend (not recommend for beginners). also see: https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic/issues/745

The code isn’t released yet because of the remaining bugs. But major work will continue from mid februrary

Ah, Ok. I thought it is “v0.9.x” for the pimatic-mobile-frontend too, but I already realized this branch is pretty much outdated. I have a vagrant image (currently using the VirtualBox hypervisor - but this can be easily replaced). See http://forum.pimatic.org/topic/1312/pimatic-on-standard-pc-instead-of-rpi/16 for more details.

I have changed the vagrant setup to the development branch for mobile-frontend now. But still it shows feature not supported. @sweetpi may be you haven’t pushed all of your changes? (latest commit on development is from Nov 8th) .

Can be set as implemented? Its in v0.9 @administrators

nevertheless it is implemented in v0.9 isn’t it

have an eye on this then. when 0.9 is out we should check the requests that have been solved then.

This really is one of the most important features for me at the moment.

@thex yes its already in 0.9. You can already use it, can’t find any bugs at this moment anymore. but 0.9 is not released yet.
