[solved] is a possibility to style button layout or insert icons for the frontend?
-
You can use ASCII codes in the text field.
http://chexed.com/ComputerTips/asciicodes.php
Number 30 and 31 as example.pimatic rocks!!!
-
that sounds very complicated. sorry i’m newbie
which file to change? config.json or other?
I have to install a plugin? -
For window rollo you should use a implementation of the ShutterDevice like the “DummyShutter”.
And all configuration is done in the config.json file.
pimatic rocks!!!
-
to be a little bit more precise: you can simply copy the ascii-code-icons in your config file.
As example here is the config section of my “Favourites”-Page:"pages": [ { "id": "favourite", "name": "★", "devices": [ { "deviceId": "weather" }, ... ] }, ... ]
-
ah ok thanks it works.
but how do I edit the switch-button (my plugin fo swich the windows-rollo is homeduino)?
the name of the button is ON/OFF
how can rename it to UP/DOWN or AUF/ZU? -
I say It to you again, use the HomeduinoRFShutter class! This is for window “rollos”
pimatic rocks!!!
-
Look there
https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic-homeduino
In the readme are a bunch of examples.pimatic rocks!!!
-
you can use shutter devices with the up / down buttons when using the correct class.
here you can see an examples with shutter devicesSwitch 1 Protocol :
{ "id": "homeduino-contact", "name": "Shutter Controller", "class": "HomeduinoRFShutter", "protocols": [{ "name": "switch1", "options": { "unit": 0, "id": 42 } }] }
what protocol and options you need to use depends on your hardware.
as i understand you already can switch your shutter, so the protocol and options should be ok.if there are still problems, please contact me via chat. we can discuss this issue directly and in German if you want to.

and thanks leader21 for your offer because my englich is not good.
yes my rollo switch-button work.
This is my setting:
{
“id”: “wz-rollo6”,
“name”: “Rollo 6 - Wohnzimmer”,
“class”: “HomeduinoRFSwitch”,
“protocols”: [
{
“name”: “switch4”,
“options”: {
“unit”: 26,
“id”: 22
}
}
]
},
I’ll try the next weeks your tips implement.
Thanks, and sorry for the newbie questions. -
no need to apologize! all’s good now, your devices are working
sometimes the questions are not clearly worded or maybe there are more than one possibility to solve problems with pimatic. therefore it’s always good to give as much information as possible when asking for help. so we’re able to help faster and to the point.

I know, the start with pimatic is a little bit hard.
Good way for the future is to read the readmes on the github pages of the plugins.
Normally you get there a lot of information about the using of the plugin.
And when it doesn´t work, the forum is the right place.You are welcome!

last night I got my new configuration rewritten. i implement your exempels in my setting,
and what a miracle, it runs.
the “HomeduinoRFShutter” was the key.
now the switches are shown as arrows,with text UP / DOWN.
I´m so happythanks again
-
as you get it? I too would like to edit the configuration files of the buttons. but can not find in any of the folders. please if anyone can tell me the paths of the configuration files. Thanks in advance.
-
@zwada what do you want to do exactly?
Do you want to change the seen style of the buttons in the mobile Frontend end? For this you need extended programming skills.
Or do you need a basic tutorial to setup pimatic?pimatic rocks!!!
-
rather basic. the only thing I want is to know how to change language of the buttons, for example. anyway a tutorial type “how to” we could use all that we are getting into the world called pimatic.
-
You are right. How to`s are a little bit rare.
But when you followed the instructions for the installation with this tutorial
http://pimatic.org/guide/getting-started/installation/
You should have a valid config. All configuration are done in this file. Only in this.
For examples look at the github pages of the plugin.You asked to change the text of some thing.
Every device has a showen “name”.{ "id": "this_is_the_system_name" , "name":"this_is_the_shown_text" }
Or do you want to change the language from the whole pimatic system? This is done in the Config too.
pimatic rocks!!!
-
to change the language of pimatic you need to insert this into your settings section of the config.json
de is for German. if you do not have set up the language in your config, the standard language is english.
you can have a look here to get the actual state of translations :
https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic/tree/master/localesthere are the following translations available at the moment:
de = German, en = English, es = Spain, fr = France, nl = Netherlands, ru = Russiaif you need to set up your own language, you can have a look at the en.json file and translate it into your own language. after that it would be great if you would share it with us, so other pimatic users can also participate

You can view the JSON data more easily by pasting it in json-csv.com
-
With pimatic 0.9 is it also possible to set the language?
I would like to set it to NL but i don’t seem to get it working.
