[solved]Open a Programm via Execute Plugin

Hello,
i just combined my pimaticRPi with an official Display and added the GUI off a Smartmirror to show me some stuff.

I’m just not able to start the Browser per execute plugin from the webgui in pimatic.
via SSH it works with.

DISPLAY=:0 chromium-browser
But via pimatic it won’t work.

i think it’s just a little error, but don’t know the answer…
so please help me

By now there are many examples of the smart mirror and this Dracarys was not the first. There are also several approaches to it.

You do not tell us how you configured the starting of the browser in pimatic via your rule (or whatever you uses).
Please share from your config.json what you tried and we might be able to help.

excuse me, it was a bit late last night.

I tried the rule:
if button-smartmirror-chromium is pressed then execute \"DISPLAY=:0 chromium-browser\"

So i made a button on my GUI.
And when i pressed this,
the browser should open the startsite

But the browser should be opened on my Display (connected via DSI)

After i pressed the Button, the RPi works.
But the Browser won’t open on my Display.

Maybe it is not possible to start a gui on a ‘real display’ from pimatic-shell-execute.
Can somebody say, if the commands are executed ‘inside pimatic/-shell-execute’?
(just an idea)

Did you tried to put the chromium start command inside a script, and only run the script from pimatic?
(don’t know if this makes any difference)

@SLiX - yes i already tried this.
It does also not work.

By the way i’m Starting a Programm (JDownloader via Script in Pimatic) and can control it via WebGUI.
((It’s not show’n on my display to)) But here it’s OK, because i’m workin with it via browser from my desktop.

So is chromium’s name really chromium-browser?

Please try:
if button-smartmirror-chromium is pressed then execute \"bash DISPLAY=:0 chromium-browser\"

And if that doesn’t work try making a small shell script (like disp_browser.sh) containing the command

#!/bin/bash

DISPLAY=:0 chromium-browser &

and try something like:
if button-smartmirror-chromium is pressed then execute \"/home/<user>/pimatic/disp_browser.sh\"
(and in that case do not forget to do a chmod +x disp_browser.sh)

I’ve got it to work.

A Rule like this works:
if button-smartmirror-chromium is pressed then execute \"sudo su pi -c /home/pi/smartmirror.sh &\"
The User Pi must be, because the Desktop on the Display is already opened under User Pi.

And in the Script i have the following:

#/!/bin/bash

DISPLAY=:0 chromium-browser &
sleep 30
xte "key Enter" -x:0
sleep 15
xte "key F11" -x:0
