Hello ,

it is possible to decode this rf sender chip and use it with homeduino ?It has an encryption algorithm .It is used to open/close an garage dor .

Any way to decode this ?

@Florin-Ciurescu This would require an implementation of the patented Keeloq algorithm as part of homeduino. Possibly, the following implementation can be used as a basis: http://www.pittnerovi.com/jiri/hobby/electronics/keeloq/

The only project I have found implementing it so far is the CUL firmware as part of FHEM. There had been a bit of a debate about the legal aspects of using Keeloq. So, I am not sure it is really part of the offcial CUL firmware release. See https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/cul-fans/hqwSGCJh6ro

As an alternative to following the homeduino route, one may also consider using CUL as part of pimatic. Generally, this is supported by pimatic using pimatic-coc, but most likely it won’t run out-of-the-box. I am not sure anyone is using CUL with pimatic right now.
