can you upload your smb.conf to pastebin.com so vwe vcan have a look?
maybe there’s an error somewhere.
you created a sambauser with sudo smbpasswd -a pi
i guess?
what about changing these settings?
or try like that :
deinstall Samba with sudo apt-get remove --purge samba
- but do a backup of your smb.conf first since this will remove samba completely.
then install samba again with sudo apt-get install samba
and rename the smb.conf to smb.conf.orig and create a new smb.conf withthe following content :
[global]
workgroup = HOMENET
netbios name = server
server string = Samba-Server
inferfaces = eth0
encrypt passwords = yes
map to guest = Never
[testshare]
path = /testshare
guest ok = no
writeable =yes
browseable = yes
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
then create the directory /testshare with sudo mkdir -m a=rwx /testshare
and create a new smb user with sudo smbpasswd -a pi
(will add user pi with a new passeword for samba purpose)
usually you should be able to get acces to the folder now.
