@MMore @sweetpi
when developing for z-way have you ever used the ZWave Device API like http://raspberryIP:8083/ZWaveAPI/Data/0
or just the Virtual Device API like http://raspberryIP:8083/ZAutomation/api/v1/devices/....
I get always an “not logged in”-error. I installed an anonymous user for Virtual Device API but that works not for the ZWave Device API. In browser the URL works fine.
Any ideas?

Log-In Problem with z-way

@Clark2309 To make z-way working with pimatic, I have created a user and set access rights for the rooms with my devices from the z-way management. Maybe your problems are related? Although I have added all rooms there, only one room works. So I am putting all devices in that room.

@ras37-pi Do you mean the user that is logged in to fire the command? Or do you ad user and pw to every url call?

@Clark2309 Look in the following zway plugin documentation:
Authentication
Starting with Z-Way v2.0.1 authentication can become an issue for you. There must be a user that has access to your devices.Go to http://HOSTNAME:8083/smarthome/
Assign your devices to room(s).
In User management allow the ‘Local User’ to access your rooms.
If you do not use the default ‘localhost’ as hostname, create a new anonymous user and allow him access to your rooms.I am using the away plugin and this is how I made it work.
Cheers,

@Clark2309 Are you developing on your Pi?
-
No, I have a mac to develop. But that could be the problem.

From what I have seen they closed a dangerous security issue. Therefore, you won’t be able to access your API, if you are not authenticating yourself but don’t ask how you can do it as I haven’t digged into that one myself.
