I have a Dummyswitch called “Jalousiensteuerung” but want to display for example “Jalousien”
I have tried the label attribute but it is not working for Dummyswitch.

@kenci How did you added your device in config? I use the “id” and “name” attributes, which sets an unique ID for the switch and a name to show in gui. Could you please post the config for your dummyswitch?
@AnduriI
{
"id": "home_jalousiensteuerung",
"name": "Jalousiensteuerung",
"class": "DummySwitch",
"xConfirm": true
}
Now i want, for internal purposes(rules and so on) to use “Jalousiensteuerung”. But for the GUI i have a group called “Steuerung” and want to name it only “Jalousie” instead of “Jalousiensteuerung”, because it looks a little bit weird
Jalousien | Alarmanlage | Urlaubsmodus
instead of
Jalousiensteuerung | Alarmanlagesteuerung | Urlaubsmodussteuerung
ok, but i don’t know if that’s possible. AFAIK the name is intended to be the gui name, but is also possible to be used in rules. To have two different name types in addition to the id seems a pointless.
I would suggest to change the name to Jalousien and either use the new name or the id in your rules.
Use acronym like “acronym”: “Jalousien” in your device definition.
@Harry-van-der-Wolf acronym is not available for Dummyswitch. That is the problem i have. For other devices you can use acronym and label but unfortunately not for these Dummydevices.
My problem is that i have other devices called Jalousien for Shutterdevices. If i use the name Jalousien for my Dummyswitch (which is intended to switch the shutter at a certain time) i cannot recognize which is now the real Shutterdevice and which is the Dummyswitch. I hope you unterstand my problem.
