When i try to install sysinfo in my virtualbox ubuntu 64 bit i get an error that GIT is missing. Reinstalled with sudo npm remove git and sudo npm install git, but still the same error. Strange thing that i had this working on a virtual ubuntu machine.
[Solved] Pimatic Sysinfo install error (git)
Reinstalled with sudo npm remove git and sudo npm install git, …
OK, this is confusung. The npm package “git” provides a library to allow for manipulation of git repositories by node.js applications. However, this is not what you need. You need to install the git command line client which you can obtain from the Linux package management system. The following should work:
sudo apt-get install git
"It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.", Hofstadter's Law
that did it! Thanks!
